We took our flight from Milan (Italy) to Lisbon, and then hopped on a taxi to Santiago do Cacém, where we spent one night before starting our hike.

We stayed at the Hotel Santiago Cooking & Nature, a very nice and cozy place close to the centre of Santiago do Cacém.

We first walked through the tiny streets of Santiago do Cacém…

… climbed up to the castle…

… resupplied, and finally enjoyed a lovely dinner at the restaurant of the hotel, where we could taste amazing local food.
